Twenty years ago it started with the idea of a hip hop newspaper for the West Texas community. The newspaper was a collaboration with TimeLost Entertainment Group headed by Dime Breed. They were looking for someone to take their music to the next level with producing and marketing their brand. We launched in 2000 with our first cover artist, Lil Flip (FlipGates, The Leprechaun, etc.) and the rest is history. This afforded us an opportunity for a media spot at the 2003 Source Awards in Miami, FL(which would be the last). We went an represented West Texas to the fullest (check out the gallery). After a few years, we needed to attract a bigger audience and promote on a larger scale. Thus, 806 & Parkway Dr., The Show was born. We had the hottest timeslot one of the local television stations in Lubbock. Yep, you guessed it, 1230am. Not too bad, but the cool thing about it was there were cats coming up to us after a show had aired and were elated that they had an opportunity to catch the show whilst they were in jail. It was a loose off-shoot of 106 and Park and basically paralleled the show with artist interviews and music videos. When artist were not available or in the West Texas market we would shoot locally and interview just about any and everybody.
